Your unknown coral looks a lot like a goniopora to me. Check out this pic for comparison. Does it have a hard skeleton that it retracts into?

Kevin I have to disagree on the goniopora. That one has 12 tenitcles which makes it an alveopora goni has 24. I think they do better in the aquarium but could be wrong on that.

It looks like gonipora but if you count the pedals you see its avelapora it bit easier to keep then gonipora for some reason.

Agreed, it's Alveopora. I had one last year, & it was my favorite by far.

well heres a good one for all you that are having algea blooms i too was having a lil cyano problem added a tang and a blennie and presto chango my reef is spotless in under 24 hrs. and who said you have to have a huge clean up crew !!!!!!! lol
