I don't know how to use it very good yet but trying tank is an upgrade from a 150 gallon that I had packed with corals ...tanks doing pretty good still not 100% solid but getting there .I was using bio pellets for a long time and finally removed them 2 days ago.i had some rtn going on out of no were and my nitrients were really low anyway

Beautiful tank I have a 420gallon that I upgraded to from a 180 back in September the move was a little rocky but well worth it cant wait till my tank fills out like yours. What watt halides are you using? Im running 6 250 watt hqi and two 160 watt 454 vho's. Also what are the dimensions?

Thanks I'm running 4 400 watt radiums on lumatek ballast and 3 250 watt xm 20k in back the tanks is 8'long 4'wide2' high as far as lighting I had to run lights in back tank to wide ...

Oh and 2. 48" 54watt Ho t5 blues I run my lights for about 7 hours right now .. I'm actually due for bulb replacment and a little worried about whats going to happen is your new tank glass or acrylic? I'm running a geo 624 reactor along with dosing 400 ml of brs alk and cal a day

Acrylic

Acrylic

My tank is acrylic 1" I custom built the tank myself the dimensions are 80X50X28 outside. The whole tank is mechanically fastened with epdm rubber and silicone seal so I could really slosh the water without worry. Right now Im watching a 2"+ wave slap back and forth. As far as changing bulbs I change mine all at once, once a year and have never had a problem, but that is just what has worked for me.

Alk and Ca

Alk and Ca

I have the same Calcium reactor and dose the same brs 2 part just not as much right now. I have a few large colonies and a lot of small ones my tank is not grown out as much as yours. Ever thought of switching to 250 watt HQI? I run the phoenix 14k bulbs with lumenmax elite reflectors best bulb reflector combination I have found in my 15 years plus.

I thought about 250 watt but ended up buying more radiums 400 watters maybe next time around try Phoenix I'm also curious about the reef flux bulbs
