Nice update. Nice camera work.

We can all help you with photograph settings when you need it.

There is a sub forum on here for photography too, btw.

Thanks! I've been reading a bit in the photography section and even started a thread in there. I am open for any tips you might have!

Wow, the new camera is awesome! How long did it take your mangrove to achieve that size? My tanks are in the basement but I've been working on the wife on a 12" tall mangrove tank upstairs that we could watch critters live in the root system of.

I've had the mangroves for a number of years. Initially they grow kind of fast but then they slow down. I suppose lighting has something to do with their growth as well. I don't think the light I have them under is ideal for them as they would likely prefer more of a full spectrum light where as this is a 12,000k Maxpsect Razor that's over them. Also keep in mind that while mangroves are neat, they do little to nothing in terms of benefiting my system (nutrient reduction) due to their slow growth and the fact that I only have two of them. As such, they are more of a novelty for me.

Thanks, I would what them for the novelty also, jut think it would be a neat system to watch.

Congrats on the nomination, no doubt it's deserving!

Beautiful update! The tank is looking amazing and those are some great pics you took! Congrats as well on the TOTM! Your tanks is very deserving of such an honor!

Congrats! Are TOTM not posted on the front page and go into reef keeping magazine anymore? What's up with that? The front page has a tank from November of 2015 on it.

Just watched the utube vids on your tank you've come a very long way and have put in lots of time and effort and your tank and you deserve the attention and rewards

I have an LX7 over my frag tank and it's amazing the difference in coloration of from the same corals under one light vs the others. I have frags from the big tank that went into the frag tank and the difference was startling. In particular my Strawberry Shortcake. That was the ultimate deciding factor and what totally sold me on the LX7's.

Been a busy day getting the new Mitras ready for the upgrade.. First was to install my articulating mounts so I can hang them from my light rack and aim them where needed. That will allow me to maximize coverage, minimize shadowing and reduce light on the viewing panes. Then the next item of business was getting them all set for master (one) and slave (5) via GCC. I then connected them to my Wifi network and then finally the MyGHL I also did a cursory program on the master unit which the 5 slaves automatically follow. I need to work on the light channel programming some more but I wanted to get something programmed so I can do some playing/testing.

Mounts installed.
