tbc...

Right now the LR is in buckets where the will be getting a final 1 week cure with a bunch of flow and some skimming to pull off any dead stuff. I also ordered 5# of the gunk from the bottom of PA's rock holding tanks (which they threw in for free), and seeded the tank with a cup of sand (mostly bristle worms) from my current tank. 80# of Caribsea seaflor special gave me a 4" sandbed (yes it is going to be one of those:) ).
The tank in place with a blue light shot and sandstorm in progress...

No offense, but I can smell an upgrade within 1 year. Everyone upgrades eventually, so you better have some room :)

Atomikk, I am pretty sure this will be my reef for quite some time, I have a FOWLR system that I will probably upgrade long before the reef, and two tanks is plenty for me.
Manderin, yep CSS125 w/ gate valve.

The dust has settled. So today I hooked up my pumps and got the refugium glass painted 3 sides and got my 5100k lights ordered. Next step is to get the rock in the tank and aquascape, then place my first order from IPSF to get some more bacteria culture and a few sandbed critters. The rock pool gunk from PA looked really good so I think I will use that as the substrate for the refugium.

Nice setup Dandy!

Which pump are you using for your CL? Your 2nd post says you are using a Panworld 50px-x.
In your Equipment list is says a Panworld 100px-x. Unless I'm missing something.

Keep up the good work!

My bad, it is actually a 50px-x 1100 gph.

I thought aquascaping was going to take a while, boy was I wrong. Using those 40# rocks took care of most of the guess work. I actually only had 4 rocks to make the 100#. I am very happy with the results. I am running a ton of carbon right now and have just the actinics on to give the coraline a head start, so when the water clears a little I will post another pic.

Right now I am off to Lowe's to get the light sockets for the refugium lights and the I will probably spend most of the night staring into the tank looking for critters :).

I was hoping you were going to say that.:D
That's the same pump I'm looking at for a CL on my 50g.

Thanks!

Last nights aquascaping.

And while I was happy with it I still had to fiddle a little and add about 20# more. Now I am happy. The fuge lights are installed and the back and side glass of the fuge painted.

I added 15# of sand to the fuge tonight, and am ordering 30# more of PA's rock pool grunge to finish the refugium.

Right now I am only running the display and the fuge tanks. The middle run equipment sump is ready to go whenever, but as I do all the electrical work (equipment sump is below elecrical box) I am just by passing it. I don't really see the need to run the skimmer at this point anyway.

In case you were wondering what the refugium is resting on, and how will I ever get in there to trim macro's......

ignore the skimmer and baffles in this pic (I changed my mind :) )
