I have read that Yuma can be a bit trickier to keep than florida, and some die for no reason at all, while others of the same species thrive right next to it.

Yea I knew it was going to be tricky. I hadn't planned on getting one but it caught my eye at the swap. It was from someone's tank, not wild harvested so figured I'd give it a shot. Not giving up on it yet either.

Well the fact that it wasn't wild harvested definitely works in your favor. Remember, low flow, low light, That's where the Yuma is right.

Amazing how fast this frag is growing. Side by side shots taken 1 week apart.

Good choice. The colors are fantastic, the pictures really don't do it justice here. Went into the swap with no plans on buying that particularly, but the price was too good to pass up. 4 polyps and its sprouting 4-6 more already. Where the rasta has maybe 2 and the Wowser just is showing its first new polyp growth.

I don't give this zoa enough love here haha. First frag I bought, and it has completely covered the small rock it came on. It's taken some abuse too, and just keeps growing. Soon will be on the rock I've attached the frag too.

Ha, not really too much movement. The Euphyllia are better for that.

Got a delivery from Vivid this morning! Packed very well. First time buying something without seeing it first and can't complain so far.
Peppermint shrimp is already hiding somewhere in the tank.
For corals I got: Duncan, pink birdsnest, GSP, and a neon green toadstool.

Fish in QT now are: Starry Blenny, Yellow Watchman Goby, purple firefish and royal gramma. Only a couple good pics of them so far.

Nice tank! I too run a 65 with a PF-800 overflow. I have a 20 tall sump and I keep my return pump in a chamber that will empty into the tank and run dry before overflowing the tank if the siphon fails and the overflow is set up with the water level where my sump wont overflow if the return fails. If you dont have a chamber for the return that would quickly drain if it fails, you can build a stand out of pvc and egg crate to raise your return pump.

Thanks! Yea as it stands, I have a feeling that the return chamber in my sump will empty before the tank overflows. I lowered the overflow box to give a decent amount of room for the tank to fill up.

Well came home to a dead YWG so that's a bummer. [emoji853]

Others seem to be doing well. Got some nori tied to a pvc piece for the blenny. Fed brine shrimp yesterday and a clam/shrimp home mix today. Gramma and firefish have eaten each time. Today's dish seemed more popular. Firefish is starting to swim more but if I move too much it's back in hiding. Gramma is still very timid.

Haha edit: and just after writing this I watch the blenny swim right past the nori and eat some clam and shrimp that had sunk to the bottom. Not what I expected but at least they are all eating.

What size QT is that? And are they all in the same qt?

If so, and it's a small vessel, the ammonia spike could have killed the YWG

No ammonia spike. Checked last night. Personally I've seen very little success with TTM. So reevaluating how I'm going to QT in the future.

QT is indeed a rough subject. My lfs said he's had better success just buying from a reputable source, and being very picky about what he chooses, then skips qt altogether. He said he's had more fish die in qt than anything else.

In my circumstance, wife would flip if I introduced another tank, regardless of the reason. She likes the tanks, but I have 3 running now, and a 4th would send her over a cliff lol.
