I started on a stand for the my future 65 gal aquarium this weekend. I could have purchase, but I want to develop my wookworking skills. The weather was great so I worked outside. After the stand, I will start on the canopy.
Here is a photo of the top and bottom frame:
Here is the frame completed:
I made the trim for the top by use a 1x2 and a 4x2. I glued them together and use my router to make the shape.
Here is the stand at 80% done. Two days so far. I will have to continue in a week or so.

A closeup of the trim. I have use wood filler to cover nail holds and defects.
