My 70g Cadlights, zeovit, Nanobox retro powered build...

Firstly to introduce myself. Been a long time lurker and the site has helped a ton when I first started in the hobby. I started my first reef a couple years back and was hooked. Before that I was into planted tanks. This is thread is mainly for outside input. Any tips or changes please jump in! Keep the comments flowing.

I've grown obsessed with sps, and really hope to be successful with this tank. Its going to be a minimalist build with open space, and modern design. I am a mechanic so I tinker by nature. That's what made me decide to go with zeovit. Also the most stunning sps tank I have ever seen was a zeovit tank. Here are the details of the build.

Tank
Cadlights 70g artisan with piano white cabinet
Cadlights 30g 4 chamber sump

Equipment
Pls100 skimmer ( will be replaced with vertex if I don't like it)
Vertex zeovit reactor
Sicce 3.0 return pump
2 vortech mp10's
Tunze ato

Lighting
Custom Nanobox Led/T5 hybrid. (Light should be here in about 2 weeks)
New bluefish lighting controller (also plan to use this for temp,pH,ato)

Setup
Will be full blown zeovit
Running esv salt and 2 part
Reef cleaners dry rock
Seaflor special grade substrate
Lots of rubble in sump to make up for the minimal scape

I think that's most of the bulk stuff! Now for some pics. Tank is wet and scape is in. Waiting for me zeo reactor and additives from BRS. Should be here Wed, and then I can get this party started. Hoping to have it cycled for RAP.

Day it came home

Super stoked. Last of my stuff got here today. Tunze ato, vertex reactor, and all my zeovit stuff. Let the cycle begin!

I like the second pic for the rockwork. Is all the plumbing metric or standard?

Thank you. I ended up keeping the second scape for now. Will prob play with it once last time tom. The plumbing is all standard. I converted it. The metric stuff supplied is junk, and I wanted a custom Herbie with sch80 plumbing.

Yeah I've been having a hard time with the metric stuff they sent and haven't been able to convert them to standard because all the plumbing they sent is all glued together which sucks.

That's a really nice sump too!

I have a thread over on nano reef that shows the conversion a little bit. You can get everything you need at any Lowes.

Are you getting enough gph with the Sicce 3.0? I was thinking of ordering that one or the 4.0 instead of my 1.5

I feel like its enough. I should be around 600 gph which is 8x turnover. More then enough. I had this one hand...I plan to go bigger in the future. Not much, I want about 900gph in my tank after loss

Let the cycle begin! Will have some pics later today of the sump area all done. Got some cool LEDs and did some cable management. Everything is nice and hidden.

Very nice, you're off to a great start, tagging along just keep those pics comming.

Thank you! Here is today's progress

Ok. Got the sump and cabinet done today. Only thing left is the ato. My tunze will be here tom. Ignore the power cable on the right. It will be hidden tom! I'm happy with it. Everything is tidey and hidden. Working on flush mounting all the controllers outside. Didn't want any humidity issues. I need to find something to hide my 5g ato tank tom, and I'm done with the hard stuff! Then I play the waiting game. Cycle is officially going to be started tom. Hope the 14 day zeovit cycle goes smooth. Well on to the pictures!

I can program about 50 different colors. It's cheesy but I like it...lol...
