My 70g Cadlights, zeovit, Nanobox retro powered build...

If you wanna go full zeo, dump the needlewheel! I went to a full venturi about two months ago and my polyps have never been longer, growth has doubled. Something about needlewheels just bash up those expensive KZ additives and pull them right out before your corals have a chance to use them.

Nice tank build so far though. I like the sump LED!

Thank you for the heads up. I have heard that about needle wheels also. What skimmer did you go with? I am going to maybe try and sell the pls100. Its basically new, all I did was throw it in the sump. Haven't ran it yet.

I had a NAC-7 originally, then went to the Cadlights TIA-1150, and now have the KZ Revolution S

I've heard great things about the kz skimmers. Unfortunately where I'm at with the build I can't spend that right now. Just forked out over a grand for lighting. I've got about 4 grand on the tank in the last couple weeks. Gotta recover a bit. Lol
After that I will shop around and upgrade.

Ok so I did what I promised myself I wouldn't. I changed the scape. While I liked the other one, I felt it was bulky for what I was going for. I wanted a lot of open space and swimming room. I also removed the black background. Comments and opinions welcomed! Also hosted on Flickr. Hopefully the pics look a little better.

Also cycle is finished. Light is on the way and first livestock end of this week.

I like the 2nd aquascape as well. The new one is nice but a little bulky. I think it is the center island. I like the looks of it but not feeling the location.

Thanks! Always time to play with it. I for sure like how open it is now with the multiple islands.

OK guys! First fish tom morning! Need some opinions!

I have a pretty good selection local. I'm thinking of a pair or trio of anthias. These would probably be the attraction of the tank. I wouldn't have much more in the tank fish wise. You guys think a trio would be OK? My scape is very open with lots of swimming room.

My light is ready!!!

Hurray for fish. Fish are happy and eating. Was glad to see everyone came out when I rang the dinner bell. Even the kole tang had some mysis and pellets. The anthias have so far eaten everything I've thrown at them! Flakes, pellets, mysis and cyclo! I'm very happy about that as some anthias can be stubborn and only want frozen. The tang has also been grazing and taking out some pods.

And someone found a really good hiding spot!

I also needed something to hide my ato and this is what I came up with. No one would know anything was in there! :)

Why thank you very much! Unfortunately the reef gods are not with me today. My light is scheduled to arrive tom. What does my tank decide to do today? Turn into a cloudy mess of bacterial bloom...Ohhh well. Maybe it clears up quickly. Set the skimmer to skim on the Wetside.

Well I'm not done with the install...but i couldn't resist. Light is hung. Still deciding if I want to run the cables in the wall or not.
I'm super happy. It's putting out some serious light, and color is amazing. Very happy. Better pictures and stuff to come.

Looking great. Can you share a bit more details about your lights? Ie which model etc? I would like to read up on it. Thanks. :)

Thanks for the love guys!
The light is a custom Nanobox fixture. Its a duo 24 with t5 added. Right now it's putting out some nice color. I'm a firm believer sps love t5. Hopefully this is the best of both worlds.

The bus pic on the wall is from IKEA. :D

Nice looking tank man. I was thinking about getting this tank when I upgrade in the future.
