My 70gal almost-cube rimless tank (Soon to be SPS Dominated)

^ It doesn't matter how many shrimps you add you will always end up with the same amount of bacteria in a few hours. But I guess I doesn't do bad. Just don't forget to remove them.

Wont remove them until the nitrates spike. Will let them decompose there and will check nitrates, ammonia, and nitrites regularly. :)

Completely untrue. Your bacteria production will be unique to every unique cycle.
This is also why people add sugar strategically as a carbon source to stimulate bacteria growth.
We'll leave the vodka discussion for a brightly cycled tank. :D

I also started my first reef tank with the beloved cocktail shrimp. Tried and true. :)

What LED brand is your lights? Where did you purchase them? Awesome looking tank

Don't know the brand cause The box they came in didn't have any labels on it. Just got it from a local reefer who imports equipments from abroad. Sorry! But here is a pic of just the bulb...

Now that is a good looking set up! I love it. Can't wait to see you start to stock it.

I like the cotton glove filter sock on the skimmer effluent!

Sweet build! :hammer:

Hahah! Thanks! But thats just temporary! Will remove it when I get the additional pipe going down from the skimmer. Just put it there to reduce splashing!
