Actually, the 3/4 did end up having water coming down of it, but not at "full force" if you know what I mean. Majority of the flow is taken care of the original Durso. The T junction does not seem to have any problems with water backing up, I also used 1 1/2 inch pipe so that there is less pressure. What size durso did you make? Mine is made out of 1" pipe then reduced to 3/4 to fit in the smaller bulkhead. Don't forget to use airline tubing up top as well. They will completely cut out any gurgling (I used 3/8 silicone pipe from HD, about 24 inches long)TA said:You use the 3/4" as emergency only? All water exits through the 1" drain? What happens as the water exits the 1" drain and meets up at the "T" junction...does it 'back-up' into the 3/4" durso?

...I can't remember if they are 1/4" or 3/8".
concept3 said:definitely not enough air.
Rich, behave...... or No frags for you!!!RichT said:hmmmmm......lets examine this......not at home.....on the computer during the day. Quit goofing off and get to work !!!!!! Wait a minute, I'm doing the same thing. Ssshhhhhhhhh:bum:

What gives it away...is it the fluctuating level?
concept3 said:...you may have a lot more flow that the durso can compensate with air.
TA said:Do you mean that I may have too much water flowing through the durso's in general? Or.....that the flow that I currently have is simply too great for the amount of air that I am able to supply...restricted by the size of the airline tubing?
Do you think changing the air intake opening (I mean the whole air-line tube adaptor) at the top of my durso to a larger size will help?
Any ideas on what I might try first...then next...before I start thinking of ripping in down and starting over?
Thanks for the tips.
Thanks Francis.... how're the frags doing?sinkingbeach said:Looks fantastic Merv, I'm envious![]()
