Arent you scared of the loss of coloration under the 65K and no actinic, I mean your frags might get big quick, but no nice color, no buy-ey.

Is it really true that you need actinic to "create" the color?
I just went to 20K MH - from 10K and actinic PCs - corals are starting to color up but I just thought that was intensity and the color "pop" was just the 20K I was looking at at the moment, not necesarily because it grew under that specific color light - just intensity of MH. Hope that makes sense.

I figured to grow them out under the 6500K then they can go under the main display tank for a little vacation for like 2 weeks. That should give them a nice "glowing tan" :lmao:

As for the iwasakis you will be surprise for the color of the SPS under them , I was running iwasakis for 6 years I still like them.

Very good , I lost one of the frags the blue polyp digitata, but you have to see the others you will be very surprise they change there colors but they still small yet .

Hey concept - I live in the Phila area....I read through your threads and I beleive you said you get frags/colonies from a LFS....which one? I ve been to In Living Color and the Aquarium Center in SJ...did you go to one of those?

Aquarium Center, yep. It was one of the only few stores that had frags in my "local" area (45 minutes away, actually). Most of what he carried were ORA pieces, he hasn't really ordered more of a selection since we don't have the market here in South Jersey. Most of my current corals now are traded pieces.

Hi Merv, i put New 6.5K Iwasakis on the tank all the new frags need to grow.
I still can see how i miss the Iwasaki bulb on the right side of your tank last time i was over , it is not yellow at all .
My Tank looks very yellow green with the 6.5 K. i have to get some carbon in there some time that will help with the yellow green color.. If you need a new 250W 6.5 K iwasaki bulb for your tank i have a extra new one i don't use.

As a matter of fact, I might take you up on that offer. I'm off Sunday/Monday 23rd and 24th if you wanna meet up. I'd like to pay you for that Bulb though, or maybe like 10 frags for that bulb I know you got the room.
