My Acropora's Tank

DSC01295ml.jpg

Stunning Photo, one of the best I've ever seen!

Damian, do you run zeomix on this tank? What were your reason for running, or not running, then? Also am I right in seeing you do not dose probio f or pro F

This is impressive- I cant speak highly enough of Aquaforest products.
I've been using them for 9 months now and I havent looked back!

I need to find that orange and green mille though- simply awesome!

Well done!

Do you use the Zeomix? I dont use that- wondering if I should add some in though!

Wow Damian! Very world class...one of the healthiest and vibrant tanks I have ever seen. Only wish I could see it in person. Thank you for sharing all the pics and vids...I never get tired of looking and watching them.

I read through the thread looking for info on what camera parameters you are using for your incredibly colorful, crisp, clear and balanced photos and did not find anything. Would you mind letting us in on some of the photography information.

Thanks, Rich

Mo, what products are you using?

I am planning to order Aquaforest products , never used it . Which products would you recommend to start of this product .My tank has been running for 18 months and it's a 200g mainly SPS dominated ULNS tank.

I'd be curious to know which products would be appropriate to start with as well.
In an established tank.

you guys have me curious about the aqua forest products now?? were do we start :)

Sorry to Hijack Damian-

Starting depends on the current state of your tank.

Basically- nutrient control. Use NP Pro (Carbon source) and Pro Bio S ( bacteria) first. I started with half dose. You can build up if you need to, but if you see brown sand/ bubbles on rock work, drop back. Eventually your corals will start to get paler ( look top down for this). Then add foods.

Coral A and V make your corals stronger and a little darker. I used half dose. Too much and again you get bubbles/ brown sand or cyano! Coral B helps with this too.

Your tank/ corals slowly adapt to this feeding, so don't overdo to start- just build it up. When your corals are nice and strong, add Coral E. It's a good food source too, but lightens your corals up nicely.

I would certainly dose iodum in any tank- essential IMO !
Also strontium helps the growth tips come out!

The other metals enhance certain colours. Micro E gives them a metallic shimmery look to the pigment. Very unique!

Hope that helps

Thanks Mo,being in Dubai and since we don't have any distributors this side which online site would you recommend. I will order the liquids which you recommended. Can I use it with BP or need to pull this out.

Thanks,
Haksar

I assume if you are using (or going to use) NP Pro and Bio S, the pellets are redundant and would probably get you in trouble.. Those two product should do the same thing as the pellets..

You can buy direct from Aquaforest, either in Poland or UK.
I was running biopellets before I started Aquaforest.
I ran them together for a while and as I slowly increased the carbon source dose, I reduced the pellets and eventually took them offline…..

The key is you have to do it all slowly, so you know what effect each bottle is having in your tank.
