Not sure what happened, but yesterday all the tentacles were deflated, mouth wide agape, and a crab eating the flesh. Since I never saw the mouth completely close since I got it, I assume that it never recovered from the stress, and I was just too inexperienced to nurse it back.
My tank is just at the 1 year mark, and I do plan on trying again. Maybe in another 6 months. Guess I'll go back to window shopping and researching.
