My anemones mouth is gaping?

alright the title says it all. my new green haddoni's mouth is gaping. it looks kinda bad but i was wondering if there was any hope for him.

I have him in a 29 with a DE 250 MH. I was wondering if this was fixable, and if because of this should i feed him immediatly, or should i wait the reccommended week or so?

ive only had him for 3 days, and he has been gaping for 2. while he was at the store his mouth was fairlyy tight and he was eating silversides so i decided to buy him. i tested last night and he is still sticky. As for pics i have to go to work so pics will come later.

is this fixable? how often should i be feeding him? small foods or cut up silversides? what are the chances hell get better?

sorry for all the questions butt since seeing it at the LFS it is my favorite thing in the tank

im movingg him in 3 months to a 75.

Ph = 8.2
Sg= 1.026 using refrac.
Temp. 79.2-80.6

anyways what do i do now? someone has to have some opinions. im still at work but i will post some pics later eventhough i have a horrible camera and theyll be a little fuzy.

The 29 gallon isnt to small as long as you keep up with water changes ect. I have had my blue Haddoni, for over a year in a 125 gallon reef with 2 , 250 watt metal halides.

I had to end up selling the tank and the only one i could buy at the time was a 26gallon nano tank. I have a 140watt metal halide over top and 2 maxi jet 1200 pumps. I have had the tank up and running for 3 months and the anemone is doing great.

If you water params are okay then it should be fine.
 
what i am really asking is what should i do to spead its recovery and assure its health. Ie...... feeding, lighting, .......or do i just let it be without feeding it.

ya i think your ok having the 29g w/ 20g sump, that gives u some more volume. As long as, like squid said, water changes, parameters, flow and light are in check, than it can be done. IMO it just takes more effort but its not impossible.

yeah i know, thats the only pic of my tank that i had saved at work and i just wanted to make sure that i knew how to post a pic b4 i got home.

thank you for those who responded, but i already figured i was safe with tank size for a coupla months.

I wanted to know what should be done to help the anemones gaping mouth. i will post pics later as i get off at 11 PM.......so 3 more hours.
