blenny madness

Mr. Ivy our ATI fixture is 5" from the water surface and we use ATI T5 bulbs. Quality and cost do make a big difference in using T5's. The ATI fixture is great because it has fans on both ends to keep the T5's cool which let them burn brighter.

I took a moment today to get some shots of my new bicolor blennies. I've never seen ones this small before, my palys are like a forest for them. I named them Spunky and Shy for obvious reasons. I have a maxijet in this tank which is off and I need to remove it today (too strong), well Spunky thinks its a great home, its a trip to see him hiding out in there. I'm better at photographing non-moving things, but I tried. ;]

Shy has been hanging out around my Candy Apple Reds and other palythoa. Spunky goes over and chases Shy a bit, but then they settle down, hopefully the tank will be big enough for the two of them.

My harlequin shrimp decided to come in for some cameo shots while I was waiting on my blennies.

My last Rainford's. I had four of them, but they are so territorial, I only have one now. I won't get them again.

I got this Japanese wrasse with the blennies.

My harlequin saw me waiting so long that he decided to do some dancing up on the glass for me. So I hunted down some asterina stars and tossed them in for the good show. I think Harlequins are actually pretty smart.

Spunky came over to check out Shy's paly forest.

I had the flow off when I was taking these shots. So Spunky decided to size up my Koralia and see if it would make a good 2nd home. I'm going to put in a little live rock today when I take out the maxijet, so Spunky won't feel homeless. lol Blennies are tons of fun.

NIce, a bunch of those pieces and frag blocks/disck look like something I would see from Coralmorphalogic

I'm still debating on wheather I get a pair of these shrimp or not.

Nope, none of them are from CM, even though I think they have nice corals.

They are great shrimp but you need lots of asterina stars or a regular supply of chocolate chip stars. After like 5-6 months of no harlequin shrimp our tanks were packed with asterinas, so we got some more harlequins. I just rotate them to different tanks so they don't run out of food.

Reefer you have a collection to be very proud of. I love your candy apple red mini colony you got going there amazing. You've got a lot of zoas/palys that I would love to see growing in my tank whatever your doing your doing it right keep it up and keep us posted on your new incoming unique corals..
