My Black O project

Its been a long road back to right now. Finally have success with my black o's and looking toward a great future breeding them. Failure upon failure really takes its toll but if you keep at it, you will be rewarded.

As of right now, I have 20 fry alive and well after 5 days and they look to be very strong ones. I'll post up some pics shortly but I am in the process of finishing my new fish room and gettin things set up. I change things I don't like and kinda in the middle of that! For one thing I have a misbar pair and they are laying bigger nests each time. However they seem to eat half the nest the last couple of days before hatch. I do keep them fed but just a crazy thing happening.

Sorry for the wait on pictures.

Here's a shot from this past Monday's hatch. 300+ survivors.

This video was taken the next day and I still have 300+ swimmers!

I have 7 left from the last batch and my one original thats about 2 months old. He is our nemo since he has a small tail fin. Hey my wife is attached to him, we will keep him.

I love seeing this! Great job so far. 300 swimmers after the first day is a big accomplishment and frankly I am soooo jealous.
I only hope my pair produces a viable nest again. After 2 nests hatched and I have managed to raise only one survivor (who is now around 3 month old) my true percs have seem to loose that loving feeling and the eggs have not been getting fertilized by my male. I upped their feedings and have been waiting for quite a while. I hope something happens soon! Congrats again.
