My Bottom is Smooth and Bare

I can't wait until it's pink and crusty. Now, not only can my Cypho purpurescens attack himself in the sides, he can assult a new enemy coming from below.

I have siphoned out my sand over the last few days and all that remains are a few grains. It is amazing how much detritus can build up in a shallow sand bed in six months, especially with only live rock and one small fish.

I am going to add a little more cured rock and a couple of Nano Streams at Xmas, then I will be ready for frags. The sand was already shifting with the Seio, so it had to go, along with all that crap.

Feels good to be bare-bottomed again.

just thought this was worth quoting again.

BB and loving it.

So what's up with the latest trend of putting a cutting board on the bottom? I have been setting rock right on the bottom since the late '80s, cutting boards belong in the kitchen.

Everyone is so paranoid about rock slides it is starting to rub off on me. I don't really feel like pulling out all the rock, but now after all these years of BB I am questioning myself.
