My brand new 6055 isn't working

I followed the instructions--connector from the power supply is connected to the socket of the pump; power supply light is turned on. But the pump does not turn on at all. Does it sound like I have a defective unit? If so, do I bring it back to the retailer or to Tunze?

I would be more likely to suspect the power supply than the pump. The pumps are tested but only recently after a few defective power supplies did we start pre testing power supplies. If you have a laptop computer with the same type of plug connection for the power supply you could try that power supply as a test. If so, I can just send a power supply.
