My breeding room(closet)set up(pepermint shrimp)

Ok i just got 4 pepermint shrimp and just going to start this thread.
I have a 20 long brood
a 5 for larva
and a 10 for post meta.
I have photo going and going to try to get copepods going soon.
The shrimp will eat bbs when hatched to death so im going to get som bs eggs when i see eggs to start to form.

Ok first update, 2 of the pepermint shrimp died.(power filter)

look through my thread for ideas. i suggest feeding frozen food, its so much easier. i could never get my shrimp to eat older live brine shrimp.

Why are you mad, bro?

I believe loosing animals shall be frequent to begin with for all of us (I have yet to even try, but I'm working on it ). Its overcoming the challenges and succeeding that makes breeding fish and inverts worth it.

add some live rock to the broodstock tank. they wont spawn much if water quality isnt high. keep trying, spawning and raising shrimp is not at all easy, so you can expect setbacks like this. while raising my peppermint shrimp, i had some mass die offs that made me think about quitting, but i kept going and now have baby shrimp to show off.

i feed my adult shrimp pellets, flake, and frozen foods. basically the same i feed my fish.

Ok my last shrimp is dead. Im not going to try to breed right NOW. Im going to use the 20 for my turtle(more space). I might sell my 46 and set up a 10 gallon mantis reef. i dont now, but im out of cash and i think the down size might get me some money. (im young so any thing a lot to me)

im not mad im just fustrated i know they larva will die but 2 pepermints just die (other 2=power filter)

But all is good im just going to wait get through middle and high school and see what happens

I'm pretty sure he was just using the Aquarium Salt to counterbalance the weight of the light. They would have died far sooner had he used that instead of a proper salt mix.
