i woke up this morning and the BTA i have with my maroons had started to split

the two sections are about 3 inches from eacother but are still connected with a long thin section. is this something i should be worried about?

should i cut the tissue that is still connected?

pics to come

Don't cut the tissue, they will pull apart on they're own. Just give them time and don't change anything in the water if you can. Also watch them very carefully because for some reason when they split they like to wander into powerhead's and overflows even more than normal.
Congrat's.

Congrats...keep an eye on the maroons as well. If they spend all the time in on, it may get abused a bit from all the "attention".

the maroons seem to be being gentle on it. it has split fully i didnt need to cut it. Both sides are inflated even though they have not healed yet.

both peices seem to be staying put.
thanks for the advice.

Looks well established and healthy to me. Given my long term experience with maroons, I would keep 3 clones in a group before selling/trading the "extras".

Cheers.
