I would HIGHLY recommend not having any wood resting on top of your tank nor anywhere near the water even tho you do have euro bracing.

Guess I have to ask the stupid question of why not near the water. I did the same thing with my top- boards all hang from ceiling not supported by the tank.

Not sure if I understand your question.

The framing for the wall (not canopy) hangs from the ceiling to avoid the pressure on the tank. Once the outside is finished I will trim around the tank, the trim should cover up from the top of the water level to the top of the tank. If that is what you mean.

Micheal, one suggestion about the board across the top of the tank. I have mine about an 1/8'' to 1/2'' on mine also. I would try to make it a taller gap if possible. My fans blow right across the gap, and dust gathers there. It would be much easier to clean the top of the tank if the gap were just a hair bigger. This will depend on the size of trim you will use, just food for thought.
