My Cadlights, Zeovit, Nanobox Hybrid, Sps Tank

Also maybe I missed it but what are you doing for supplements? All those awesome corals will be sucking the water's nutrients pretty fast. I used to do a calcium reactor but may go to the controllable drip station with two part plus a third for mag.

I'm very excited about the tunzes. When I say my ecotechs were loud, I don't mean anything crazy. Just the normal sound they make. The dry sides on vortechs always make a humming sound. My mp10s were brand new, so they were quiet. When they get older sometimes the bearings get worn, and they make a ton of noise. My tank is so quiet that even the normal humming of vortechs bothered me.

For supplements I have a bubble magus doser. Dosing esv 2 part. I also dose the zeovit supplements.

I'll try and get some pics of the bottom of the light when it's off.

I love your tank, I am a fan of the minimalist look in tanks this size, very curious to see what happens when everything grows out a bit

Nice Build
Did you cycle the tank using the Zeo method? If so how did it go?
I also run a full Zeo system but I switched over from a fuge based system.
What are you currently dosing I am guessing just the basic 4 in a new tank but just curious.
Good Luck

I am only dosing the basic4 right now.

Running stones into vertex reactor
Zeostart3 .20ml twice a day .40 total
Zeobak 2 times a week
Sponge power every other day
Change my stones every 8 weeks and dose zeobak for 10 days after stone change

That's it for now. Will add other additives in the next month or so.

Couple crappy pics of some of the new sticks. Also got my tunze all setup. Wow these things are awesome! Loving the flow now that I have them all programmed.

Yes a lot of them are fresh cuts. They came out of a buddies tank. I have never had bad luck with fresh cuts. I just acclimate them a little slower and start them low in the tank. Thanks man!

Not sure if you have any of this Zeovit product but I add Pohl's Coral Vitalizer to my tank every other day. When I add new fresh cut pieces I do it for 3-4 straight days. You might see an increase of film on glass if you overdose though.

Your tank might not be ready for a steady regime of it now but some doses to help fresh cut corals should be ok

Thanks! I do have CV. I just haven't added it to the schedule yet. I like to feed a little extra a few days when I get fresh cuts. Give them a little boost ;)
Seem to always have good luck with it.

I have the same tank coming in Tuesday hopefully, did you upgrade the plumbing? If so did you have to switch out the bulkheads?

Thank you!

I switched out the main drain bulkhead for a standard 1 inch. For the return and emergency I used the stock bulkhead, but I adapted it to fit standard plumbing and used 3/4 PVC.
Hope that helps!

I have two Ecotech mp40 and it's not loud. After prolonged use, the bearings get worn out so it starts making humming sounds. Which can get loud over time. You can just replace bearings.

:thumbsup:Alex your tank and corals are looking awesome:bum:Next time I am in Otown I going to give you a ring.

Thanks man! Hit me up next time your in town! I got a whole bunch of really nice pieces from reef raft. Hopefully soon I can share the wealth!

Don't get me wrong, I love ecotechs. I have had many in my reefing days. With this tank it was more about looks. I didn't like to see the 2 mp40 dry sides hanging off the tank. I didn't like the jebao either. Way too big. I now have 2 tunze 6095 and love them. My tank is deep at 24" so the wide flow of the 6095 really helps. They also have a much smaller footprint then other pumps of the same gph.

I also have replaced many bearings on my vortechs. I actually have a bearing connection and use ceramic stealth bearings. So much quieter then oem bearings.
