That is a very nice Conspic you have there. Great looking specimen. How big are the fish? Where did you get them? Do you have a thread about your tank build? Love to see some pics of the 600?? T

Both fish are 4.5"...I got them from a wholesaler. I do have a tank build thread in the large tank forum.

I am officially insanely jealous at this point. But You obviously have many times the amount of cash available to me.
Anyway, is it risky adding a known bad boy ( Holacanthus angel ) in with a a Conspic, or is tank size a limiting factor on aggression?

Gorgeous. Are they both in the same QT tank together? How do they get along? Hope they leave your corals alone. I love the fish but love your LPE TT vette more, wish you lived closer, I'd love to race ya!

Not sure I quite follow you...But let me try to answer what I think you're asking. I think any fish added to another group of fish with a established hierarchy is risky, but because I have a large tank I would think the aggression would subside after a few days to a couple weeks. My Purple Tang and Yellow Tang for instance HATED each other but because there was ample hiding spots everything was fine after a couple weeks and now the two fish are good buddies. hahahah.

They are in seperate 40 gallon tanks right now, but they will get transferred to a 125g QT together after 2 weeks. I will keep them in the 125g until they seem to get along and get used to a reef environment.

It makes me sad to see my vette just sit in my garage day after day when its -15 degrees outside and 3 feet of snow...Its like an angry caged beast.

Incredible fish. Congrats! Curious, what other inhabitants are in your display tank? Any pics?

Just saw your tank build thread you started in 2007. Great looking tank, reefnut. The room that it's in must be pretty impressive as well. Thanks.

Wow,I can't wait until your tank is fully stocked! But yeah, I know what you mean, we have two feet of snow here and I haven't driven my SS in a couple months!

I would have left out the sixlines or mystery knowing you wanted rhomboids and lineatus, but hopefully your big tank will solve any issues. Or at least added the sixlines and mystery wrasses later. Good luck though, and those are some stellar angels!

What sheol was asking was are you worried about adding a typically aggressive Holacanthus with a more peaceful Chaetodontoplus, but I think you will be fine given the room they have and the fact that other people have done it in smaller quarters without issue.

Yep, that was exactly what I was asking. I've come to understand that Clarions can be real Hel*raisers in tanks, especially towards other angels.
But if both are added at the same time, that should difuse the aggression.
BTW, JUST how aggressive is the Clarion compared to A Passer (king) or to a Queen angel?
