My chalice needs some surgery, help please

I got this guy several months back. He didnt acclimate well and he started to die off on an edge and progress into the center. It has stopped and the healthy tissue is growing very well, even over the old dead stuff. Should I dremel the dead stuff off and leave tjust the healthy tissue?

I would leave it alone if its growing back. It will grow over the old skeleton.

looks like a hollywood stunner? I have one of those - great looking chalices. glad yours pulled through. chalices grow slow but heck, that's why the large ones sell for so much I guess
