My lfs had a clam (i'm not sure what kind) in a tank with just the NO lights and it lived for like three weeks, so I finally bought it and put it under my metal halides and it died after two days. Why did this happen?
When ever you change lighting, you must acclimate to new lights or like the other person stated, it will be stressed and die.
You should also do that when changing from your old bulbs to new ones.
