My clown and his "anemone" aka zoa.

So, I thought my clownfish strange and wanted to share his insanity. Unfortunately, I can't get any pics so I will describe.
I have a lovely colony of wine colored zoanthids. They are taller zoas and hence have become Dale Jr.'s (oscellaris clown) new "anemone". He sleeps in "his" zoas and will not even let his girl, Danica near them. He snuggles down between the polyps to sleep.. it's very funny.
Anways, does anyone else have a crazy clown???

dale Jr sounds like a girl usually the male doesnt chase the females away.

is it the smaller or larger clown that is in the zoas?

"He's" less than an inch long.
"She's" a little over 2 inches long.
Since I know where they came from... I know they were "born" in early October.
So, any ideas? Is Dale Jr. just a submissive girl?
They've been together with just the 2 of them since December.

Here's my crazy clown. She doesn't like the male to get close.

yah, i had a pair of ocs that decided that a zoa patch was a good host. after a week or two, they started getting black patches on their skin...luckily, the two finned idiots decided to move to a mushroom patch before i had to contemplate moving their zoa patch.

i don't think it was 'harming' them, i just think it was causing a reaction of some sort.

yup mine do the same, my female has a pretty big black patch on her now. My male has takin up hosting in my canycane. Its funny watchin.

hex,
those zoas are gorgeous.
are they really that purple in real life???

ok, so dale jr. might not be crazy??? just enjoying his zoas. but i do need to keep an eye on him for black patches like an allergic reaction to the zoas...
