My clowns hosted!

In Memoriam
I have had a pair of false perculas in my tank for about 6 months now with 2 beautiful anemones. One is a 6-8" GBTA and the other is a 12" beautiful RBTA and I was anxious for my clowns to host. Well they finally hosted! But not my beautiful anemones :(. They are hosting my big blue mushrooms right next to my anemones lol. Hopefully they will move over a few inches and find the anemones.

The easiest way is to bate them over to the anemones. Bast some food with trail to the anemones. That's how I got mine to host in no time. He got stung by one tentacle and he's been attached ever since.

BTA's are not a natural host for the false percula, but it can happen. i have a pair in with 4 BTA's ( 3 years ) and a carpet ( only 1 month ) and the clowns host a piece of PVC pipe ( though i did catch the female in the gigantea on the weekend but she went back home :( )

good luck and please post some pics if they do :)

Your story sounds familiar. Two anemonies to choose from and mine picked a featherduster.

My percs like the upper corner of the tank -- and the mag float :)

For six months they've been right next to another tank with a pair of GSM's that are nuts over their GBTAs (it was GBTA singular, but eventually it split -- just so they could chase each other back and forth between them).

I thought eventually the percs MIGHT look over and get the idea, but nooooooo....

mine likes the area next to my heater - underneath my tunze nano protien skimmer...trying to get them to adopt my frogspawn as a host (which is no where near that area)...
