i just took the extra skimmer out and put a prizm on the side.. so there is nothing stupid hanging in the middle of the tank :)

thanks. yeah the room had two ways into it from the front part of the house.. through the kitchen and through the diningroom.

the room with the tank used to be the livingroom next to our downstairs bedroom. Last year we bashed out a wall to make a really large livingroom. the extra walkway from the backside of the dining room made the room feel like a huge corridor/pass through than a livingroom. I wanted to close off that wall to restore the livingroom cozy feel :)

it was a great excuse to upgrade from the 5.5nano i had going to almost 8 months.

i've been putting off bigger tanks because of the cost to run them..but with the LED, koralia powerheads and skilter the thing uses less than a room of regular lights running. lol probably less than my TV uses.

I've loving having a larger tank again. its nice to have room for more and more corals.. i ran out of room quick in the nano

I just had to sell my dslr to make mortgage :( (the wife and i have a landscaping biz and usually we have snow to plow by now.. but havent..so things have been tight.. but we do have a little point and shoot that i should be able to get some pics up with :) they just wont be as nice.. at least the will be nicer than most of the phone pix i posted up there

both sides are flaps too so i can clean from both sides. I also measured from the floor to my armpit and made sure the top of the tank was in the armpit.. no ladders and no bending over :)

i just need to trim out the bottom and it will be 100% done.. well that and bump up the lighting to another 33w of LED.. for a total of 66w

the underside is completely empty too.. i might put doors on there eventually for storage underneath the tank.. .. but for now i should be fine.. there is a closet right next to the grey side of the tank :)

How you took care about the humidity issue??

"You can help create your own luck, you can make things happen through hard work and intelligence."- Donald J. Trump

the top on both sides is a flap. and the very top of the flap (between flap and wall) is open. so its pretty much open air in there. havent had any issues with humidity

ive seen this build..although i havent been there in a while and keep missing frag swaps :( ill leave you to guess who this is...muhhaha muuuahahahaha
