My Daughter's X-mas Present

I ordered this 4g AIO from CadLights on black friday.

I set it up in the basement with some LR and sand from my 120 so it can cycle and what not. I have another one (maybe for my desk at work) that I got a discount on as the first one came in broken as did the second one and I waiting to hear on a refund, that she can open on x-mas.

The acrylic for the filter area came broken on both tanks, but was a pretty easy fix.

I have some nice pieces of LR in my DT right now waiting to go into her tank. She is only 4, so it is going to be some work getting her to understand what she can and can't do with the tank. She loves helping me with my tank.

Not only is our "hobby" fun for us, but it's also a great intro into caring for animals and respecting living things, for young children.

She walked by the tank the other day, points at the zooanthids and says "oh look, button polyups"

My youngest daughter loved going to the lfs when she was young. Helped with the cleanings etc. Then she grew up and lost interest. Enjoy them when they are young. They grow up so very fast. BTW Thats a great set up for her.

Well, the replacement for the first tank (which I fixed myself) also came in broken and CadLights is not responding to my emails. Not sure what recourse I have at this point. I can fix the second tank as well, I just hate having to pay for something that came broken.

The second tank will most likely end up on my desk at work.
