That is one awesome bta... Had one similar to it but it didn't make it. From what my experience with bta is that the nice rare color forms seem to not fair so well unlike the regular reds and greens. Any thoughts on it?

so as I mentioned before, it has settled in nicely, but unfortunately I think it likes where it is so far.... :sad2: .....

here is the foot I can see from the side of the cave....the body of the nem is facing the back of the tank....dang it!!!

I don't see the correlation between color and mortality rate....I think, however, that there may be an issue with regards to competing anemone strains (as opposed to a tank full of clones)
IME I am currently keeping multiple color strains of BTAs together, even touching each other, with no visible negative effects.
However, I have introduced other strains such as a green BTA and a Pink BTA in the past and neither of those strains flourished in my aquarium.

FWIW, I do run a carbon reactor continually to reduce any chemical exchanges between them. but while I believe it may help, I certainly don't consider it a solution for success...

I would think that with all the variables and differences in tank conditions between hobbyists it's impossible to determine that. This one seems to have settled in nicely, but who's to say it won't up and move again next week.

you can barely make out the rest of the body in the background/thru the cave....

I really love the greenish/blue streaks in this specimen...somewhat noticable in the rear tentacle at 12 o'clock

Nice pickup. I haven't had any luck finding a premium nem like that in my area. I guess I'm going to have to pay premium and have something shipped from Cali. then hope it looks like the pictures.

unfortunately my tank is not much to look at right now in the process of setting up a new DT tank and will be doing a much better job with aquascaping (which is currently not my best skill :hmm3

Your tank is fine,does it have a divider in the middle?What type of upgrade are you looking at?I am also thinking of doing a upgrade from my 60 cube to somewhere around 105 to 120.
