Wow, I had to look at the last posts date to see the time diffrence. Just by looking at the equipment all I see is money being added up=) So are those vortechs the Gen2's and did you get two of them? I'm so close to spending the money since the can communicate with one another plus the crest reef feature. But then I see how much they cost then I'm back to reading more about them ha,ha,ha

Looking forward to seeing your T5's. Never seen a tank besides Mike's frag tank with T5's on them. Maybe you can convince me to switching away from the halides? Can't wait to see the set up, more pics too.

I love the brightness you get with the T5's and the color is nice. You just can't replicate the twinkle you get with Halides. When's that thing gonna get some H2O in it?

very nice choice with the lighting!! and the vortechs i dont think you have to worry anymore about setting anything up that looks cobbled as you put.

I'm guessing those are gen2 VorTechs. Between the upgraded magnets and firmware, my factory upgraded former gen1 is running nicely. I wonder how it will be doing after 3, 6 and 12 months of service.

Yes, those are Gen 2
The little silver foil sticker in the upper right hand corner says so.

So far I am very pleased with the T5 lighting, yea could not wait and put it over my existing tank. I have taken a weeks vacation to do the setup.
So I will be starting Nov. 18th.

The Aquatinics Solar Flare is soooooo clean, no extra junk, just 3 cords coming out of it, and once it is suspended from the ceiling on the aircraft cables it will be real sweet.
And the Vortechs will get rid of all kinds of "Cobbled Together" junk from the inside of the tank.
