My Euro Reef RS80 Quit

My pump on my Euro Reef Rs80 Skimmer has siezed up ...it looks to me like the magnet has swollen so it is too large for the housing...did not know magnets could swell but hey that is sure how it looks. Anyway while searching for replacement parts, I find that this model is discontinued . The reccommended substitute pump is the Bubble King HY 1000. Do any of you have either of these pumps laying around ? I know it is a longshot but I like to keep it local.... Thanks

I have an ASM skimmer, I understand they are similar to Euro Reef. It has a sedra pump...the same thing happened to mine. Kermits had the replacement magnet for the sedra. Maybe they can help you repair your pump.

I am sure Dave or Richard would send you off one in the mail to save you a trip. You just gotta open a reef store in Starkville or West Point!!!

Dave don't have one ..I checked ..I still gotta call Richard and see what he has . I think it is going to take a whole new pump . Chris at kermit's said heat would swell magnets ..so somehow I bet this motor got hot and most likely burned up . So now I am looking for a pump that will fit this skimmer body. Looks like the bubble king is the best match...

Ebman..thank you so much..you are right , they have a compatible pump considerably cheaper than the ones I "thought" would work that I found on my own..
