My experience with E.shine LED...not so good

I'm at the same point with them. I really thought from their pre-sale service that they'd be great an easy to deal with if there was a problem. Boy has that backfired. I'm contacting PayPal as well. Not sure what they can do but it's worth a shot.

I'm going to consider myself lucky that they never followed up on finishing up my order considering the stories I've heard here...

After writing a dispute to paypal, eshine has contacted me. After allot of discussion they asked me to take apart the control box and switch some wires around which solved the issue. The lights now go off as they are supposed to.

I figured something would give once you contacted Paypal or your card company. They are relentless when trying to get their money. It is very unfortunate that it had to go this far. Eshine will need to improve it's customer service if they want a chance for a future. These LED companies are popping up everywhere. I imagine in a year the number of companies will at least double. No one wants to spend $750 a light at the LFS so I am sure business is booming. With more competition the little things like customer service and reputation will become very important. That being said, I think I am about to order from Eshine and take the risk. Their lights just seem a little better quality than those black boxes on ebay. And I hear that the fans are less noisy which is another plus. I am glad your lights work properly now Reeferdano.

I came on this thread a while back and defended E.Shine for the quality of their product and customer service. Myself and a friend of mine have made two purchases from them and have liked their product very much and I want to give credit where credit is due.

Recently however one of my friend's 4G fixtures malfunctioned well within the warranty period. He contacted Robin and explained the problem and a part was dispatched immediately, but it did not fix the problem. He mentioned he did not want to DIY the unit as he did not feel comfortable doing so and did not want to void the warranty so could they not receive the unit, fix it and ship out a functioning light. They shipped the same part again which did not fix the problem. We both tried contacting them again and now they simply will not acknowledge our emails. I even tried chatting live with Robin and he just went silent when he realized it was me.

I am not impressed with how this has gone down. I still think their product is good. In fact we tried contacting Robin again because we want to buy more lights for our algae turf scrubbers, but three different sales people at E.Shine have now refused to reply.

I don't think we did anything wrong except to ask for service as the problem was not rectified. If you bought a TV and had a problem, you would not expect the service tech to give you a circuit board and tell you to go home and fix it yourself so why should this be any different. E.Shine needs to step up and fulfill their warranty agreement and not hide from their resposibility. Robin, if you are monitoring this you know who I am. Contact me.
