Well after six years of looking I finally got myself 2 Enchelycore anatina... as far as I know these are the only two in the US.

This is the larger of the two -he's about 40" long

The second one is a bit smaller - 16-20". He's also a great deal more shy, but neither of them have shown any aggression towards the dragon.

I'm keeping them, along with a dragon and my G. ypsilon at 68-70 degrees, which fits within the ideal range for the anatina and Y-Bar, and fine for the dragon as well. I plan to grow the smaller anatina out a bit more and then move them into a larger tank. Right now I'm working on E. ramosa and I think one or two of would look great with the anatina in a 240 acrylic.

EDIT - DANGIT! I accidently posted this in reef fishes, which they are not. Could a mod please move it to Agro/FO?

Oh my, imagine getting your finger stuck in their mouth.. Those teeth look sharp! I love morays. I'm getting myself a golden dwarf and maybe a freshwater.

Wow, that first one looks like a monster. Great fish! :crazy1:

Out of curiosity, what is their feeding regime. I'm curious to know how much you feed an eel of this size/frequency.

Very cool! Mean lookin'!

I'm sure he has them on a very steady diet of cute animals and human flesh twice daily.

Lol... thanks everyone!

I just got them in Thursday and they haven't eaten yet (both have shown interest but no bites so far). I feed my other morays grocery store fish and silversides... I think these guys should be the same.

I actually have two damsels in the tank with them; they've been around for months and no one's eaten them yet. They aren't nearly as aggressive as they look.
