Hi guys i have a 29g with 130w of PC lighting, 65 actinic and 65 10,000k. I have my favia brain located in the middle area of the tank in terms of light. Should i place it higher because i never see the polyps extend, never. Does it need more light?

TIA

here is a pic of it and the placement.

While we're talking of placement, can you tell me if these corals are placed correctly. They are all in medium/high flow.

Thanks

I have two favias, one pink at the top of the tank and one green near the bottom. I use 440W of VHO on a 90 gal. The pink one often sends out feeders, but the green one rarely does.

I would think he would be fine where he is. You can try spot feeding with the pumps off and see if that encourages a response.

Mine feeds at all different times and it took awhile before it did start. Now it opens whenever it feels like it i guess.
I would think its good where its at in your tank.
