My favorite flasher!

Thanks for the link. It could very well be when it's flashing. It looks a lot like the third picture but it Silver/white color doesn't washout the pink/red. It was very pretty and I wish I saved the picture.

why do they call them flashers :l?

In case that isn't sarcasm :D...

Because when males display, they will often flash different patterns and colors, as you can see when you compare the first pic of the all red fish, to the later pics with all the blue color.

Oh, OK, no problem... then my answer applies. Most flasher wrasses are quite stunning when they display.

The wrasses may flash more if we were able to get females that would not turn male. They do show off to the females and other males that are competition for females. Jus a thought though.

I actually don't mind if he doesn't flash... it kinda stresses me out LOL. He's gorgeous in his non-flashing colors, anyway... with that big rooster crest dorsal fin especially.

Peter, you are killing me everytime you flash a great looking wrasse here and I go out getting one but it doesn't come close to looking like yours. After seeing your lubbocks I got a small one for almost 2 years now and not even close. I may have to go out and find a linespot now. lol

I thought of you today. The LFS that I got my original lubbocks at has the same kind, small, but for $40 now. I didn't get it today... I might tomorrow :D

You are getting it tomorrow for flameangel right??? :lmao: Wish my LFSs were as cheap as the one you are buying from! I would have to pay $50+ for virtually any wrasse in my area, would you adopt me Peter lol?

Ha, pour it in.

Have you ever tried a pair? I wonder if it would flash even more with a female? I know with 2 males only one will survive.

Just must over here in NJ I've a lfs that sells all the common wrasse for $20 and you don't have to be Peter's fish slave. :)

I actually did end up with a new lubbocks, but from a different LFS... he was only $29 :)
