My feather algae just gone sexual this morning any my pico tank (7g) water is very cloudy right now. I did an emergency 20% water change and it is still cloudy. What should I do?

The feather algae was doing very well in my tank and grow very fast (too fast I would say), I need to prune it once or twice a week. Then few weeks ago, I upgraded my light with DIY LED light from 7W (5x 1w white + 2x 1w blue) to a 30w (3x 3w 6000k white + 3x 3w 11000k white + 4x 3w deep blue). Then I start noticed hair algae grow rapidly on my rocks and pumps. I did acclimate the new light with short lighting hours tho. The very tip of the feather algae's vane started to lose it's green colour and turned into transparent. It gradually spread to the base of the feather and the transparent part just dissolved. It only happens to the "full grown" feather, new baby feather is still growing so I thought its still doing fine maybe it's adjusting itself to the new light.

Yesterday, all full grown feathers are gone and only baby feather left. Last night before I sleep, I noticed the tip of each individual barb start losing the green color like the green paint of dry painting peeling off. I went to bed and this morning my tank is very cloudy and the feather algae were so thin and collapsed to the tank bottom. I do a water change and remove the dead feather algae (it was very easy to remove the root didn't grabs the rock and sand as hard as it was still alive).

I think what happens is the caulerpa don't like my new light and together with the blooming of hair algae, the nutrient is all sucked up by the hair algae and caulerpa is starving, so it went sexual and try to respawn to other area.

So what should I do to restore order? should I just keep water change? will caulerpa seeded all over my rocks and grows everywhere? will it kill my coral and fish? I have two true clowns and some softies and LPS and BTA. By the way my only filtration is an Live Rocks and ATS, and my tank is over a year old.

Do another water change. And run some carbon, if you can.

Thanks for your advance, I came home after work and the water is all clear, all live stocks are doing fine, water parameter all good, and I noticed there are some more space in my tank after the feather algae is gone!!! It makes me wanna get some more "members" to my tank. HAHA:lmao:
