Today my brown and white (hawiaan I think) feather duster left its tube and is in my rocks. I had him for 2 months and he was fine. Does anyone know if thats OK??

Sometimes they leave there tube because the water flow, lighting, or something isn't to their liking. They can rebuild their tube in a few hours. Don't try to put it back in its tube, you can hurt the worm.

I've had this happen and I never seem to see them again? Do the fish eat them? Does my purple lobster eat them (he's been suspected of eating some other things.....?

did the head (feathers) fall off? or did the whole worm migrate out of the tube?

if the head fell of then i am pretty sure it is a stress issue and though i think they can regrow, i am certain they almost always die after this..

I think the whole worm went out because I tried to grab it and it pulled away and hid under a rock. I picked up the tube and moved it and there was another head in their. But that haed has never shown itself in the past 3 days.
