My first anemone

Thats just it though, I have quite a few corals in my tank. Most of my corals are small frags, but those will grow, and I do have some bigger pieces as well.

it all depends on lighting conditions and the specific anemone....but it won't sting corals if it stays on your glass

if you decide you don't want it anymore I'm sure you could find somebody to take a healthy mag off your hands.

tony, is there any way you can stack some live rock up near it so it can reach it and move over on its own?

you just need to be sure it is very stable so it doesnt fall onto the glass which could damage the anemone or break the glass. once it is really well attached to the top rock, you could move it elsewhere in the tank where it will get the same amount of flow and light.

I could try something like that, I just rather not scratch the front glass. Never thought about doing that, thanks for the idea.

And just curious, how much does a healthy Magnifica normally go for?

depends.... i lucked into mine for $50. i have seen them as high as $150 in local shops

My mag moved into one of my sps and did some damage while it was still alive. And my BTA just got done with a full tank rampage :crazy1: luckily I caught it every time. I have seen magnifica's around $180 in Austin, and a known healthy one will go for quite a bit here. Personally I'm willing to pay about that much for a healthy one, but it's my favorite animal and I can't seem to come across a healthy one. It all depends on the aquarist's preferences
