My first Angel

I have been looking for a small Flame Loriculus for a while now. Here in NC its much harder to find one less than 2". My LFS was able to order one that is 1 1/4" and I picked it up last night. At the store it was eating frozen brine and mysis so I had to pick it up. I believe this one came from Melanesia, it has a BRIGHT red head and the blue is just starting to show.

Here's a picture I snapped this morning before I went to work.

I know its just a Flame but I'm totally amped being my first Angel :D

Thanks guys!

I really would like a Multibarred Angel or Bandit in a small size. I know the bandit is almost impossible to find that small.

I know they wont fit in a 35g. ;) I would love to find a 1-2" Bandit for my new build.

I have a new tank I am building that will be up very soon.

Here's the new pictures. I watched the tank around an hour today and he only nipped once or twice on a cap and superman. Other than that it is eating brine/mysis combo.

This fish is STUNNING. Its only a flame but I cant believe how vibrant it is. The pictures I shot are not PS only cropped. The War Coral and lords are very bright red and the flame puts that to shame! Next stop BANDIT angel ;)

Very nice flame and great pics... start saving your duckets! Bandits pricing goes by the 1/4", the smaller, the pricier ;)

Only A FLAME? Well, only the most vibrantly colored Centropyge, I guess.
All angels are wonders & most are beautiful..

I was an addict before I even started my own SW tank..

I was wondering if I were to buy a larger one would they pair up? Would I need to put them both in QT and add a spacer or let them figure it out?

She has been doing great, its nipping at my caps but besides that leaving everything else alone. Hopefully it wont stress the caps to much.

Thats very nice Dave! When you say multibarred, do you mean like this:

That is from nyaquatic, they have 4 of them. I really want one of these, but I already have a potter's and pygmy cherub in my 150, I don't know if 3 would cause a world war.

Yes the multibarred is another I would love in the larger tank.

The trio on DD last night was amazing!

Probably, I'm finding Cherubs to be little demons once they are established in a tank. And I am not even talking angels, my tank is too small. I'd advise against it, Multibars are too precious to risk IMO.
Beautiful fish though, I know how you feel!

Beautiful fish, I have had a Flame Angel for about a year and a half. Great fish & has loads of personality. Fun to watch.

good looking fish. My first angle fish was a flame angle too. Just got a multibar today
Anglefish are real personable fish i think

good looking flame. Mine has always been constantly foraging in the back of the tank behind the rocks since I got him over a year ago, but when he comes out, he is by far the most beautiful thing in my tank.
