Well Iv been browsing and asking a few questions here for a couple weeks but havent really introduced myself. Im Scott from Mansfield. I recently decided to make a saltwater reef / fish tank and went with the Aquapod 24 gallon tank.

I didnt like the black contemperary stand thats available so for the past 3-4 weeks Iv been making my own stand/canopy. Im about 95% done with that now and almost ready to start my cycle.

Here is my equipment:

AP24
Sunpod 150w MH Light
MJ1200 Pump w/ Hydor Flo
ICA 2.0 Chiller from nanocustoms
Nano Remora Skimmer
JBJ Auto topoff
Ebo Jager 100w Heater

Here are some pictures of how my tank is coming along. Please ignor the orange wall. Im going to be painting my office very soon

thanks for compliment, its not flawless by any means, but im very impressed with how it turned out myself. Especially considering Iv never built anything before this...

ill keep ya updated on the progress. I hope to get some LR and start my cycle very soon

wow....that stand looks great. and nice setup with everything else; the only potential problem that i see is the ATO. The float switch has been known to sometimes get stuck in the "pump" position, either because of a snail or just getting jammed or corroded, etc.
but besides that, looks great

if you start a nano tank...is it necessary to "cycle" the tank if you use live sand, live rock to start??.and water change 10% a week.

so that skimmer fits in there with the hood on? i have a 24 aquapod myself and was looking for a skimmer
