Brief. Time for me to try some coral after waiting almost 9 months now for tank to Mature.Put in yesterday but not placed yet.

Agreed! I would leave the torch (?) in the 2nd pic on the bottom, or even partially shaded, a little while longer than the others. It looks a little bleached and might not do well under brighter light right away. I lower flow area would be good too.

Thanks for the input. 6 of the small corals I got as a package of 6 for 20.00. I am completelt clueless about care...EXCEPT. .water parameters. So, for lighting I turned the Radion down to a max of 60% based on some reading about different members and their learnings with LED's.

I would love any input.

Beautiful purchases, and a steal at that!

I agree with greech about keeping the torch coral a little lower in the tank due to the bleaching. The occasional feeding can go a long way with a bleached coral, as well. I try to target feed mine every other day plus what they catch from the water column. But with that said, it sounds like you've done plenty of research and are certainly on the right track.

Be prepared to target feed if necessary. It is not uncommon for your fish to steal food from your corals. Beautiful setup and selection btw!

Thanks Ebacon, I have one of those telescoping Turkey basters on the way. I kinda thought I better feed them a tiny bit :)

Is one of the corals you got a gonipora? most of the time they do terrable in reefs and then when they die they kill everything else

That's a misnomer, they don't poison the tank simply by dying, but in the case of being attacked they may release a toxin as a defense mechinism that could poison the tank, however short of something physically attacking it I doubt you should worry. Besides, it's nothing a good strong protein skimmer can't handle.

Thanks for the info. My Green grass has decided to retract all day. I understand they are good to watch because they are like a sparrow in a mine shaft. I have tested my main parameters and they seem ok. I also noticed what I thought was a worm under that green grass frag right where it is epoxied down...I turns out to be a tiny Bristle star fish living under the frag...kinda inside I think.
