Wooo Hooo! I got my first Deresa today, its about 4.5-5in long. Ok, they perfer being on the sandbed with a rock under them right? My other question...how do clams reproduce?

sorry, couldnt resist. eggs i do believe. I am looking for info on dersa's too. Have you found any online sites?

My deresas on the SB with a dead monti cap under it. Happy as a clam. Hmmmm thinking bought breeding them clams already, how bout a picture before you embark on that journey

99% that will not happen in a closed system. In a tank, spawning was just contaminate your water so if you do get a spawn, I will do a water change and place some carbon in your system to help with cleaning the water up. IME and IMO ,

Tridacnids are hermaphrodites , has both genders. Stress will trigger the spawn.
