I did my first mail order for live stock with Marine Depot a few weeks ago. I have always purchased from my LFS so was a little apprehensive. I gos some riccordia, nassarius snails and a blue jaw trigger. I wanted the red/ orange riccordia but they where out so they sent me 7 polyps of the blue/green on a nice big rock when I ordered only 3 polyps. The rock also had nice Coraline growth and feather dusters. I ordered the 12 pack of snails but got 15.
Now here is the kicker. After about three days the trigger started showing signs of Ich. It got really bad. I started hypo treatment but it did not help. He stopped eating and finally died after about two weeks. They only have a 5 day guarantee with their fish so I figured I was SOL. I called anyway to see if anything could be done. I expected to be told of their policy and hear a bunch of excuses. What did I get...? No questions asked replacement with shipping included!! I did pay the $16 Saturday delivery premium but all said and done...I was pleasantly surprised at the willingness to give top notch customer service.
By the way, Thank you George for the great customer service. I look forward to future purchases.
