My first Nem... questions

I recently bought a green Bubble tip Anemone for my tomato clown. I have had the clown for about 3 years and its always hosted in my frogspawn until I added the nem of course. Other then feeding this thing is there anything else I need to worry about? The clown loves this thing its really funny how its constantly trying to get a little deeper into the nem. How can I keep it from roaming my tank? and if I tired to add a 2nd clown do you think the established clown would kill it or would it pair up? Thanks Gina

Pics would be nice. What are your tank specs? Water specs? BTA love living in rock crevice. How big is the anemone? It needs to be at least 2-3 times bigger than the clown so it doesn't get stressed out from rough love. Your current clown would be VERY agressive to the second clown you get, since it has a anemone now. Wait for the anemone to get alittle bigger than go out and buy a SMALLER one. Let's say the smallest and healthiest you can find would be great. Slowly introduce him to the old clown.

The tank is 183 gallons. Its a standard reef tank, Ca at 450 and Alk at around 11. I keep the temp between 78 and 79. I have a 400W 20K radium over the tank and The anemone has parked itself in a rock crevice as of right now.

I think as long as the second clown you add is significantly smaller than the current one you have then you would be fine. Your tank is large enough that if there is some aggression towards the new clown it could hide out somewhere else for awhile.

How big is the anemone compared to the clown? I could be wrong but from those pictures they seem similar in size. If that is the case, I would wait until the anemone is bigger. There have been cases (( and I have personally witnessed )), of clowns loving an anemone to death. Also, it could be the picture, the anemone looks a bit on the light ( colored ) side, don't be surprised if it darkens up.
