My First Saltwater Spawn

I've breed numerous freshwater fish, but never tried with saltwater. This morning as I was getting ready for work my wife pointed out that there were lots of "things" floating around my 24 gallon nanocube.

Turns out my pair of false percs had some babies. Hundreds of them. Hopefully there will be some left when I get home from work, but I am not optimistic. Maybe I'll set up a tank to raise the next batch.

I'd like to, but I'll be away for 12 hours before I get home. Then I'd have to set up a tank and try to find something to feed the fry. I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm afraid mom and dad will pig out during the day.

From what I've read they will now spawn every 2-4 weeks. with a little planning I can be ready for the next patch.

Thanks, I've actually been trying to work at work. Spending much less times on the forums. Of course that plan will go out the window if I start doing baby clown updates.

You probably won't be able to raise this batch. Start reading the breeding forum here on RC. There are plenty of good threads. I raised 3 from my first attempt and haven't really tried much since.

I didn't think I'd keep any of these guys. By the time I got home from work they were all gone and the adults had very plump bellies. I've got extra 29 and 30 gallon tanks sitting around. I may set one up to raise the next batch. We'll see how motivated I am.
