Ok so here's the plan:
I plan on getting 4 H. redi for 55 gal tank already cycled as it was used for quarantine.
Im adding a HOB fuge (24 inch version) and a new skimmer, aquamaxx hob-1 (havent heard bad about them), and maybe an aquaclear 70 for chemical filtration as im ditching the current canister filter I have.
I would like to put some zoas and mushrooms in the tank as well. I have read that there are no problems with that as long as the corals don't sting.
However, how do I get the flow correct so I don't drown the seahorses while making sure the zoas get what they need?
Second, I notice that on all the web sites seahorses do best at cooler waters (low 70's) and all soft corals tolerate 72-78 (according to fosters and smith), temperature where tanks are located rarely gets above 72 even in the summer. So I was going to key in at 74-5 degrees what does that do to the corals?
Any other thoughts would be appreciated in the likely event that I'm missing something.
