yea. went in planning on buying 2 left with five LOL. i would have kept going but i think ive run out of room for now
my tanks been up for 11 months. all lps and fish have been growing, all params steady and good. tank seemed ready... phosphate has always been <.01-.03 usually barely detectable.
its mounted on a frag plug so it looks a little weird. it encrusts first then branches from the leading edges apparently, it is also tabling. it just looks like a encrusting monti right now but its already starting to form small branches along the edges...
what do you have for flow? any controllable pumps?
pulsing/ broad/ changing flow patterns will assure good health and fast growth. controllable/ switching pumps are one of the most valuable pieces of equipment for anyone interested in keeping SPS, esp acroporas.
ive got an MP10 on reefcrest mode. my tank is a 34g cube so it reaches the whole tank. the hyacinthis (far right) needs the most flow, all of its polyps are out and look fully extended so i think its good. the guy i got it from had it almost directly in front of a powerhead. i tried to position it similar in my system.
