My first SPS

Good luck on with your new challenges. SPS is an entirely different world in reef keeping. I'm pretty new to it myself and having a blast!

Only been a few days but they all have poly extension so i'm guessing i'm off to a decent start.

Yup, keep your nitrates and phosphates low, keep you alk, cal, and mag stable … and you'll be off to the races!

Lol, I still have a couple softies as well as a torch, duncan, frogspawn and scan so we will see how they all do.

He means you'll fall head over heels for SPS like the rest of us and slowly sell off and trade all the rest of your corals that take up real estate and aren't SPS.

I had 3 people over at the house looking at the last few non-SPS corals left in my 150 "¦ taking up precious room for more colourful sticks!

Yeah, I see what you mean, there are a lot out there to choose from and I always see another that i want, i'll have a 140 gallon reef sooner or later, have the tank, rocks, salt, refugium, just not the means for anything else for it right now, that will probably be sps dominated. I still love the lps though, acans, torches, frogspawns. On day 3 and so far so good, the only thing i'm noticing is on the green stag i noticed two white spots show up on him, nothing more i can do than hope for the best and keep the parameters in line, hopefully it will not continue. I have a gfo reactor on the way to get the phosphates back down, they are sitting at .1. I'd hate to lose any of them but if the other 3 make it and I only lose one, not bad at my first attempt, i'll just have to figure out what to correct and go from there.
