What size outside thread is that ? 1/2''? A 1/2'' pvc elbow slip by thread should work fine. I'm worried your 3/4 drains wont handle the mag drive output that you're gonna have.

Well i had the tank full with water ,& the pump running that worked fine,i just need something to secure the hose to the inlet.

I will try the 1" pvc fitting.

Nice Job!!! U plan on painting the back of the tank ? that would look nice.

Yeah im gonna paint it,not sure what color. Its gonna be another week until i get my stand.

So you have a sump? How does that work with those style of drain holes? I wanted a sump so thought I had to have an overflow, but I like those drains better cause they give the tank a much cleaner look.

There is a pic of the tank,& sump on page 1.Its a 10g sump,with a baffel,for refugium.

I'm a little confused as to how those drains will work on an open system? The way it looks now your water level will be really low, and the drains will be super loud. Are those drains not designed for closed systems, or closed loops?

With the mag 9.5(return pump) it keeps the tank full & the drains didnt make any noise.I had it full,& runnung in the bathroom yesterday for about 1 hour.No micro bubbles,no leaks from bulkheads.Just that stupid design i did on the return outlet.I cant find a piece of PVC to fit snug enough so it leaks a bit where the hose connects.I dont wanna use silicone on it.

nice setup ....

What's that black hose that you used called?? Where did you get it ???

Im not sure what its called,i know it works well on an outdoor pond.I bought it at my LFS.

So where does your water level end up being? I predict some problems, but maybe I'm just misunderstanding something?
